Welcome to the analysis of the Xiaomi M365 electric scooter, I want to say to begin with that I am very surprised with the scooter, and that after several weeks of use, I have not fallen (I have to admit that I am a bit clumsy), in fact the feeling of robustness , agility and stability that transmits the scooter are very good.
Since I have work 20 minutes from my house, it has helped me to carry out the tests of the Xiaomi M365. Now I have gone from needing 20 minutes to go to work to about 5 or 7 minutes (depending on the traffic lights and the number of people on the street), the truth is that it is very good, considering that in total between the round trip of the work needed 40 minutes a day, now they are at most 15 minutes in total.
In the box in addition to the scooter contains a charger, a key to finish the scooter, a spare wheels, an adapter to fill the wheels and a small manual.
Design and Materials
The Xiaomi M365 electric scooter is made entirely of aluminum, with rubber coverings for the handlebars and non-slip rubber for the feet. No doubt the quality of the materials of the scooter is very good and it is something that you notice from the first moment you get on the scooter.
The Xiaomi scooter has a disc brake, regenerative and ABS (as if it were a Formula 1), so when we perform the braking, this helps to recharge a little the batteries of the skate. In the case that we go quickly, say that it will take approximately 2 to 4 meters to stop.
The M365 equips an analog bell on the handlebar, where we also find a front light, the brake and the acceleration lever. On the back it incorporates a small red light that emits an intermittent flash when we apply the brake.
The wheels are inflatable, thanks to this we will hardly notice the potholes of the road (quite the opposite that with the solid, where we notice everything that happens through our wheels in detail), this is to be appreciated when we are going up and down the sidewalks.
The scooter is foldable, the folding process is very simple and can be done in a matter of seconds, being able to transport it with your hands easily. I would also like to comment that, in case of breakage, punctures or any type of fault, Xiaomi has spare parts for any of the components of this scooter M365. In that aspect, we can be really calm.
Speed and Autonomy
The Xiaomi M365 electric scooter has a brushless motor of 500w, capable of supporting the weight of a person up to 100kg, and I can assure you that it moves with ease (I weigh about 93Kg)
About if you climb hills, well yes, even moderately high slopes (but do not expect to climb Everest, but this will happen to any electric scooter, it is a scooter, not a spaceship). It is capable of reaching a speed of 25km/h in normal mode, and in ECO mode it reaches up to 18km/h.
I can assure you that it’s more than enough to go around town, it’s a speed similar to the bicycles that circulate around us. And also, think that if we fall at that speed, we will take a good hit. In the case of the Xiaomi M365 we see that it offers an autonomy that is between 20 and 30 km.
And I can assure you that it is true, I did not need to charge it after several weeks of use.
After several weeks of use I can say that I am delighted with the Xiaomi M365, it is agile, fast, has a great autonomy and is very stable.Fully recommended for those who often have to do long journeys on foot (like going to work, or simply moving around the city), and especially if they can not use the car or public transport.
